Keep debris at least 30 feet from your home.
Clear Vegetation
Step 03 Tend to the vegetation around your home

Clear debris
Keep roofs, gutters, decks, and patios free of leaves, pine needles, or other flammables at all times.
-
Remove flammable mulch and vegetation

Replace flammable mulch and vegetation with hardscaping and nonflammable materials.

Remove overhanging tree or shrub branches
Keep at least 20 feet from your house, roof, or chimney.
